  • Jump Start Johnny Visits Our School

Wed 21 Feb 2024 Mrs Naffati

After almost 6 years of our children learning routines, wanting to get up to exercise and being enthusiastic about getting fit with Jump Start Johnny - the day finally arrived where our children could meet him in the flesh!!!!

The children came into school bursting with excitement - some were dressed up as Johnny himself, others had raided Mom/Nan's exercise legwarmers, tights and sweatbands!

Seeing Johnny in person was an absolute highlight for soooo many children. One Reception child touched him and said "Are you a real person?"

Johnny lead workouts, visited classes in Reception and Nursery and was a total hit in our Special Provision Penguin Hub. He posed for photographs and encouraged the children whatever their age or ability.

An amazing morning for ALL our children! Whoopa!

  • Superhero Day

    Fri 09 Feb 2024

Superhero Day is our way of paying tribute to a very special Reception boy Zeias-Wolf who sadly passed away on 9th January 2024.

Today we dress up in costumes just like Zeias used to do and hope that some parents will donate to his Go Fund Me page in support of his family.

  • Christmas festivities

Fri 22 Dec 2023 Mrs Naffati

What an amazing, busy and magical December we have had.

We are so proud of all the children - our children in Year 1 and Year 2 including the choir have dazzled Holy Trinity Church with their stunning singing this Christmas for their parents and on Sunday 17th December for the community! We filled the church with joy, love, singing and sign language!

Reception gave us their Nativity Born in a Barn. The children performed beautifully; amazing singing, dancing, speaking and sign language!

Nursery shared their special Christmas film show with their relatives; singing, dancing and eating cinema snacks made for a lovely family memory.

Merry Christmas and thank you to all our children and families.

  • Workshops in school

Wed 22 Mar 2023 Mrs Naffati

Over the last few months we have begun getting parents and families back into school to see learning in action. This has been really well received and most year groups and classes have had a wonderful response from parents. We understand not all parents can come in during the school day, but we will endeavour to give you as much notice as we can to arrange for other family members to come instead. Our computers sessions including online safety and Phonics, Reading and Reading SATs workshops were all well attended and we hope you will continue to support us working together to help every child be the best they can be in the future. Thank you for all your support so far this year - it is really appreciated!

  • Thank you at Christmas

Thu 15 Dec 2022 Mrs Naffati

A big thank you to everyone for your help and support over the Christmas festivities.

    Nursery film show was beautiful.

    Reception Nativity Whoops-a-daisy-angel was magical.

Year 1 and Year 2 sang so well at the church and Gill the warden of Holy Trinity Church was so impressed and thanked all the children for 'bringing the church to life'

The children have had a Christmas to remember with a disco, a party a Christmas dinner and the Christmas Fayre.

Thank you to all the families and friends of our children for making it such a special time of year and a success - we cannot do it with you.

  • Advent Stories

Tue 07 Dec 2021 Mrs Westbury

    Hi everyone,

Our staff members and some of our governors have been recording stories so that each day leading up to Christmas you can listen to a story at home. Each day a book is selected from our advent calendar (this was made for us especially by one of our governors).

To access the stories you need to click on the red ‘children’ puzzle piece and then click on ‘Advent stories’ this will take you to a page where you can click on the icon for each day to hear a story. A new story is uploaded every day so keep checking back each day.

We hope that you enjoy listening to lots of different stories. 😀

  • Staff babies are born!

Sun 21 Nov 2021 Mrs Naffati

Great news - we have not one but two new staff babies!

Congratulations Miss Wood on the safe arrival of baby Max and congratulations to Miss Raybould on the early surprise arrival of baby Olivia-Rose; both mummies and their babies are doing well!

Welcome to the New Invention family little babies!

  • Library Week Information

Mon 04 Oct 2021 Mrs Naffati

    Library Week

This week is National Library Week. We have made plans for all children from Reception to Year 2 to visit our local library at New Invention Square in The Hive building. They will be meeting the librarians, looking at books and talking about how they can join.

Any child who joins the library or visits with family to look at books can attach a picture on Seesaw and will win a sticker and a badge.

Our local library is a valuable resource - it nurtures a love of reading and it saves families money too - why buy when you can borrow!

Nursery children will not miss out either, they are launching their own lending library. Children can change their books every day if they wish and a story at bedtime or snuggled in a chair on a cold day is a perfect way to start your child on their reading journey!

    Happy reading everyone!
