Challenges

11.5.20

Your challenge this week is a hand to eye coordination challenge. Using a roll or rolled up sock, throw the ball above your head and catch it. How many times can you successfully do this in 30 seconds? Set out a space 5 large steps apart, how many laps can you do whilst throwing the ball in the air?

Challenge yourself:

- Throw the ball with one hand and catch it in the other.

- Add a clap in or see how many claps you can add in before catching the ball.

Think about:

- What sports would use this sort of skill?

Have Fun Bears :-)

Hello Bears

Hope you all had a lovely Easter! Your active challenge this week is to create your own fitness routine in the style of Joe Wicks. Try and include at least 4 exercises that work different muscles in your body e.g. squats to work quads and hamstrings. Once you have created your routine teach it to your family so that they can get involved too. If you would like your routine to be shared on the school website to inspire others to stay active get someone to record you and send it to my email (your family can be on there too 😜). Remember these challenges can be done inside or outside. Have fun πŸ’ͺπŸƒ‍β™€οΈπŸ˜€

Hope you are all safe and well, missing you all lots and hope to see you very soon! Mrs Davis has been keeping herself fit and healthy by being active at home, hope you are too!

To help you keep active I am going to set you a challenge each week. So my challenge for you this week is to do three 1 minute exercises:

1. star jumps

2. plank

3. high knees (running on the spot)

Make sure you have a rest in between, drink plenty of water and don't stop before the 1 minute is up! Don't forget to send any photos or videos of you doing your challenges to Mrs Davis' email :-)
