What a scorcher!

Due to predicted rising temperatures this week, we are offering the following changes:

Uniform

• With effect from Tuesday 23rd June, children can wear their School PE Kit as an alternative to their usual uniform; black shorts and white T-shirt (no crop tops or strappy tops please)
• Children can wear trainers with their PE kit (no sliders or crocs please, as these are not safe to run in)
• If children choose to wear their uniform, they can do so.
• This adjustment will remain in place whilst temperatures remain high – which we are expecting to be all this week.
• Parents will be contacted to bring correct clothing for any children wearing inappropriate clothing.

Sun Protection

• Apply sun protection as necessary for your child – please use all-day protection
• Bring a refillable water bottle. We can refill it throughout the day.
• Provide a hat or cap to be worn outside 

Adjustments to the school day

• Lessons will be adapted to cater for sticky, wriggly children!
• Shortened outdoor sessions at lunchtime 
• Reception outdoor learning in the morning rather than in the hotter afternoons, shared with all classes.

Sports Days

• Reception Sports Day is postponed – the new date is Monday 29th June at 9:00 on the Junior field. 
• Year 1 and Year 2 Sports Day is postponed – the new date is Tuesday 30th June at 9:00 on the Junior field.
