As a school we have contacted them for guidance several times this year and they are very supportive. They have asked us to put this information on our website - please contact them if you have any concerns about any of your children.

The NHS has issued guidance about how School Nursing delivers services during the coronavirus pandemic. We are still able to support and offer advice to children, young people, parents and carers.

We have a variety ways in which you contact the service. We can offer advice and support on a range of physical and mental health issues. We have 2 websites which have lots of useful information about physical and mental health.

www.healthforkids.co.uk is designed by children for children and has lots of games and activities.

www.healthforteen.co.uk is designed by young people for young people and has lots of articles and blogs. Both website are free to use and designed by the NHS so have safe and reliable information.

Mon 06 Apr 2020 Mrs Westbury

The DFE has released further guidance for parents and carers  which is accessed on:-

Some of the information is the same as the previous update but there are additional messages in this guidance including support for keeping children safe online while there is an increase in the use of online learning at home.

There are also additional resources for this in the parent area on the front page of our website before login. Access these through the parent puzzle piece and click on 'How to Stay Safe Online in School and at Home'

I hope you find this useful.

    Stay safe everyone!

  • Swan House

Wed 01 Apr 2020 Mrs Westbury

    Hi everyone,

Just before schools closed we had made a community link with our local care home Swan House. Some of our Nursery and Year 2 children went there to read stories to the residents, sing songs and play games. As many of the residents won't be having visitors at the moment I was keen to keep this link going and give the residents something to smile about. It is also a nice opportunity to let them know that we are still thinking about them all even though we can't go to visit them at the moment.

Children have started to send in pictures and messages for me to forward on to Swan House. Today we had this lovely response from them.

"Hello Louise, That is a lovely idea!  The residents will love that.

Thank you for you contacting us, it is really appreciated, take care and love to all the children,

    Regards"

Once they had received the messages and pictures that I have been sent so far they sent us this message!

"They are fabulous, a big thank you to all the children who took part."

If you would like to join us in helping to make the residents smile then send in your pictures and messages to the email address below and I will send them across to them.

    lwestbury@invention-i.walsall.sch.uk

You are all so thoughtful and wonderful for helping with this!

    Keep Safe everyone!

    Mrs Westbury :-)
