Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
As I begin my 25th year at New Invention Infants it has been wonderful to see the children back in school this week! No matter what happens in the wider world our school continues to be such a happy place to be!
Years 1 and 2 have taken their new mixed classes in their stride, they have settled extremely well and all working so hard. The air of calm in all classrooms is wonderful to see and the children have that twinkle of wanting to please us all - I truly hope we can have an uninterrupted year as our children have been through so much.
Well done Seahorses, Stingrays, Jellyfish, Bears, Dolphins and Monkeys; both me and all your teachers are so proud of you, keep it up!
Our Reception children have all tried their first full day in as half classes. They too are settling well, enjoying meeting new friends and all the teachers finally face to face! They have been so quick to learn routines which is wonderful and many children are confident to have conversations with their friends and the grown-ups as well.
Well done Reception we are all proud of how confident you are - keep it up!
Nursery have met all their parents and children on home visits this week and Monday sees the first of the transition stay and play sessions building up across the week until children are all in for their full hours. We have for the first time this year some 30 hour children and it is exciting for us to see how they enjoy being with us all day.
Last but not least it has been lovely to see all the parents, grandparents and siblings again safe and well - although we cannot believe how much the young siblings have changed over the last 18 months!
Thank you to you all for being patient with staggered home time - we are still being really mindful of COVID rates in the local area and Walsall and you have supported us again to put these measures in place which we all appreciate.
Our Autumn Newsletter will go out this coming week with all the information and reminders for things you need to know.
Take care everyone, Mrs N x
Our Year Two children have been working incredibly hard to put together their leaver performance video over the past few weeks. They have enjoyed recalling some of their favourite memories from their time in our school. The video is available for you all to see if you click on the red children's puzzle piece and then video resource centre.
Well done to all of our children! We are proud of you all and will miss you. Good luck for the future - go and be amazing!
See our Twitter feed @inventioninfant to see our fabulous outdoor experiences this half term. Every year group were sooooo excited to be out and about with their class. Each year group experienced something inspirational in the outdoors:-
Year 2 were incredibly courageous tackling the heights of 'Go Ape'
Year 1 were budding animal experts at Dudley Zoo
Reception built dens and hunted for bugs on Cannock Chase
Nursery had their first ever visit with school to Broomey Croft Farm and bravely fed lots of animals, went hunting for farm treasures and climbed tall structures and old tractors
Our Pupil Premium children explored Kingswood through computing eyes, they followed minibeast clues on a treasure hunt, they took photographs and recorded their own information about Pet's Corner and used 'i-pastels' to create an image of something they had seen around Kingswood during the day!
How lucky they are to have experienced such amazing times!
Join us in congratulating the following staff for the safe arrival of their bouncing babies:-
Miss Spencer - Baby Carson - born 18th September
Mrs Davis - Baby Ava - born 21st October
Mrs Nicklin - Baby Grace - born 26th October
We have received a lovely message from John Crabtree OBE Lord-Lieutenant of the West Midlands, thanking all of our school community for their support during the recent Covid -19 pandemic.
You can find the message in the parents area ( Blue Jigsaw).
Our Year Two children have had to say their goodbyes from a distance this year. Check out their Year 2 leavers videos in the children area in the video resource centre. Year 2 you have been an amazing bunch this year and I know that we will miss you all! Keep being incredible!
