Basic Skills in Computing
Bears have been practising computing skills this morning by creating a poster on Word by inserting WordArt, text boxes and images. We have also been playing keyboard games to learn where the keys are on a keyboard and help us to improve our typing speed.
Healthy Workshops
Bears have loved being active in our workshop this morning and have shown how much they have learnt over the past few weeks about healthy lifestyles and having a balanced diet.
Being Hygienic
Over the past few weeks Year 2 have been learning about the different things that humans need to do to stay fit and healthy. This week they have been thinking about how hygiene is important. They have made some posters to teach other people about how to keep clean too.
Library Week - Visit to The Hive
Bears had a great morning visiting the Hive. We got to choose and share books together and talked about how a library works. We hope to see lots of Bears signing up to the Hive soon!
The Troll
After learning about expanded noun phrases, we used these to create a character description of the troll. Here are some pictures of our illustrations of the troll to go alongside our writing.
We are super at counting!
Bears have been practising counting in 2s, 5s and 10s today using different apparatus and chants!
Peter Pan - Guess Who Noun Phrases
Bears were practising using noun phrases last week with a game of Peter Pan guess who. They came up with some lovely descriptions and will be continuing this next week with a character description of the Troll
We Are Artists
We’ve been having fun and getting messy with paint! We practised making tints from last week and then added texture using sponges, cotton buds and our fingers!
Our first day in Bears
Bears have had a fantastic first day in their new class! They have been brave pirates this afternoon and have found some treasure to bring back to class. They can’t wait to find out more about pirates during the topic.
